Celebrate CONEY NIGHT: Friday, Nov. 6

This is Burlesque is back and uptown!  And on Friday 10% of the door will go to support Save Coney Island’s efforts to preserve and expand the amusement district in Coney Island.  Be dazzled and entertained by the beautiful Angie Pontani and comedian Murray Hill in the funniest and sexiest show this side of the Mississippi.  The show kicks off at 9:00 pm.
Sweet Carolines is at 322 W. 45th Street between 8th & 9th Avenues.

Support Save Coney Island with two options:
>$70 open bar all night!  This includes cover, drinks (liquor, beer & wine) tax, and tip.  What a deal!
>$10 cover and a 2 drink minimum.  (The more you drink, the more S.C.I. gets loaded, too!)

*Make sure you tell the door that you here with Save Coney Island so we can get our 10%.  We need a minimum of 30 people to make this work so bring your friends!

At 7:00 pm artist Eric March and S.C.I.’s Juan Rivero will give a gallery talk at Park Slope Gallery, Brooklyn for a discussion of Eric’s show “Moments in Time: Queens to Coney Island” and the political situation in Coney Island that inspired much of the work.

The show features oil paintings, watercolors, prints, and drawings of Coney Island (as well as Long Island City.)  Included in the show are images of the beloved Astroland Rocket and pieces celebrating Coney’s crowds of beach-goers.

Eric will share thoughts about the work, how and why he chose his subjects and his process of working.
Juan Rivero will discuss the history of Coney Island, the current political situation that helped inspire some of the work, and what Save Coney Island is doing to preserve and expand Coney’s historic amusement district.
